A Voice in the Wilderness

As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there's a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness. -- William O. Called upon

Lest we revel in our accomplishments there remains work to be done. May we never fail to do what we have been called upon by our creator; to do for our enemies who are far more difficult to embrace because of the hatred that drives our mutual distrust.

And may many people come to realize that their "enemies" are often just people they don't understand or know well enough.

Working in sustainable development is like Syssyphus's stone. No matter how hard you try,the stone will roll back down the hill. Is that a reason to stop trying ?

That is a really great quote. Especially in today's world. Thanks for posting it.

Paul,

Amen to that. We just keep trying and we keep the doors open. You have an amazing ability to get inside a diamond and look out. What you have is a gift and I am thankful you hve become my friend - you offer me strength.

Elias,

St. Paul's (or perhaps you would call him the Apostle, Paul - depending on your religious affilaition - no matter, the words stand on their own) words are very powerful indeed. I agree with them completely. Your choice of who and what to quote indicate to me your devotion to Christ and I appreciate you for it.

Beav,
If anyone was ever built to be Syssiphus, it is you. Your positiveness and dedication to Humanity tell me that no hill is going to stop you.

CC,

Iinteresting name and even more interesting blog site you have there. May you never run out of roses to hand out. I like your concept.

Irina,

Being put in that position, we are left to do something which is counter-intuitive; to forgive. What you say is true and yet knowing that, we are armed with what we need to avoid such pitfalls.

Thanks for the posts people. I am sorry Ihave not been as responsive lately but events in my life have pulled me away for a while. I'm still here though.

Be safe,

J. Abran
