A Voice in the Wilderness

As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there's a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness. -- William O. Angel - Sarah McLachlan

Angel
Sarah McLachlan

Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There's always some reason
To feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
Oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
Let me be empty
And weightless and maybe,
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line
And everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
And the storm keeps on twisting
You keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference
Escaping one last time
It's easier to believe in this sweet madness oh
This glorious sadness that brings me to my knees

In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

As I said in Amias' blog one day, it's moments like these where I get stuck for words and wish I could just reach out and throw my arms around you and take away all your hurt. ::hugs:: Love and Prayers, too!

It's been a very long time since I looked at your blog. I saw a comment you left on another bloggers page and clicked on your name. I am not sure why. I don't know if you will accept this. You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dad. I know what you are going through right now. I also know no words can help ease the pain you have in your heart. Try to think of his life and not his death. Remember the good things, and fun times you two had together. It is not easy to do,it will take time. I still struggle with the loss of my mom.
