A Voice in the Wilderness

As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there's a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness. -- William O. While men and women are dying for oil for Bush and his family, Bush has taken up a new profession. Bush has become a surgeon; he is practicing bypasses without a license, OOp! Forgive my error; Bush doesn’t need a license to be a doctor. All he need is to wait until everyone is resting, then he pounce.

They say, what Bush want, Bush gets. He’s the new Lola.

What a crock! When they checked his body, did they forget to check his mental state? Doesn’t matter, they lie so much even if Bush was using drugs, or even if they found a cancer of the conscious, he would still be pronounced healthy. He has gotten around doctors before. All that’s required is money, and laws put in place to limit liabilities paid out in malpractice suits.

It pains me to see so much pain. My heart goes out to the family members of these soldiers, who are forced to fight in a war that make no sense, with the exception of making more money for the haves and the have more. How very sad. My heart is broken.

Is there no wonder why Americans are becoming a fat unhealthy nation? When we can't fight injustice, food becomes our outlet. The only diet that will work is the rights to live in peace. Of course speaking one's mind helps.

Hummmmm … let me see what’s in that ice box. I am feeling hungry.

Arf ! When you think that the average marine is 22, it's so sad it makes me angry !

End the madness, someone !

(I wouldn't have come up with it myself, but to quote a fellow blogger : "Impeach the f***ing monkey already !" - this is how angry it makes me. Dang, it made the sweet tree-hugging canadian use the f-word !)

Not just soldiers dying, though that's really all that gets our attention here. Stop by LB for a list of the forgotten.

Thanks,
G

g,

Great post - I agree. We often fail to realize there are more casualties from war that tend to be either minimized or forgotten altogether.

Journalists are no exception. Their job is daunting and dangerous. I often wonder if they have been killed in order to be silenced - by both sides. Journalists have a way of getting in the way of agendas and that is a very unhealthy thing to do these days.

I try to keep my posts limited to very specific topics and thus chose to make a big deal out of the American casualties in my blog. Rest assured, I have not forgotten these other people that you have so artfully adressed in your post.

It just seems more often for me lately like I am in a sinking boat and my bailing with a teaspoon is anything but effective against the onslaught.

Thanks for re-charging my batteries. I'll keep bailing.

Joe

Certainly my comment is not intended to take away from, or as commentary on, your post at all, Joe. I'm actually not thinking in terms of the list being absent from the blogosphere - we can't get that list too easily without MSM, whose lack of coverage on the deaths of journalists has me somewhat intrigued. Just glad I was able to stumble upon the list as it was still available in some papers. It remains to be seen how much of MSM will bother with it, which is, as I see it, somewhat shocking.
